«Hotel Rwanda» Tales and cheap blood

iam grateful that you picked these scenes and images, is now the world will see, this is the only way in which we have an opportunity to intervene to save us people.
- Yes, and even if no one intervenes, it will continue to be good to show what is happening.
- How they can not interfere after seeing all these atrocities?!.
- I think that if people saw these pictures will say «My God, how this terrifying and horrible», then go to complete their dinner.
(silence)
Hotel Rwanda (Hotel Rwanda) is an American film, British, South African and Italian directed by Terry George, released in 2004.

The film, which evokes the biography of Paul Rusesabagina, has a distribution of important actors, including Don Cheadle, Nick Nolte and Jean Reno.

Previous scene is a dialogue between the photographer foreigner and a local citizen after the photojournalist to take photographs showing the horror of the massacres that occur in the country in the third world; the bodies lying on the side of the road, heads smashed, the remains of children, women and elders, dilapidated houses, and death everywhere , a waterfall of blood does not stop and question bis: «Why do not interfere with one to save us?!».
-2-
- Do you think that you can kill them all ?!
- Why not ?, we completed the half way already.
In the mid-nineties it occurred in Africa and one of the worst massacres in human history. In an era of high-speed communications and newsletters around the clock, all over the unnoticed one. Simply put, the world turned away and ran his face, and in less than three months has killed more than a million people. In the middle of the first decade of the third millennium, making the film «Hotel Rwanda» tells of the massacre in the form of mini-tale place in a simple place decided to resist all of those conditions on the land of this country, this place is «Hotel Rwanda».

Million Rwandan human spirit of the citizens of the tribes «Tutsi» killed by extremists from the tribes «Hutu» under the complicity and participation of army commanders and security agencies, and in the global shameful silence. But the film was not able to tell the story of all these, only just the tale of a hotel manager was able to save more than a thousand people from the «Tutsi» the midst of this hell. But the important question is: «How this simple man was able to achieve that?».
-3-
Hero of this story is «Paul Rosesabagana» hotel manager who in turn Representative «Don Cheadle», this guy As shown throughout the film director is a quiet man and balanced, knows how to run its affairs the middle of all this chaos, it is not the quality of the men flashy, as it is not an epic hero in any way. This man chose to make his way to bribery, courtesies, and deception. In this, and only this, he is able to save these lives.
«Paul» man «Hutu» married a woman from the «Tutsi», was trained in «Belgium» He now runs a «Des Milles Collins» hotel in the Rwandan capital, «Kigali», he manages the hotel for the happiness of its customers and just as without it does not care However, the interests of his family and close friends. And suddenly it begins a horrific massacre changed all this; armored vehicles, and armed militias begin to racist liquidation of a large operation aimed at genocide each Rwandans belonging to the «Tutsi», he finds «Paul» himself responsible for more than one thousand human spirit resorted to his hotel to escape the killings collective.
Representatives of the United Nations are present in Rwanda under the command of Colonel «Oliver» who performs his role «Nick Nolte». Colonel sees what is happening and begin to inform his superiors, and requests to intervene and help. But what happened after that at least the ugliness in any way for the massacre itself !.

-4-
Answer came west, and came with full teams from the armed forces, brought their planes equipped to transport passengers away from this hell, but they did not use their weapons only for their fellow citizens, and did not let that set foot on their vehicles and aircraft forward and one brunette. Is not this another massacre and a crime fledged?!.

«West does not kill in his hand, it is rarely done so. When they have the ability to pick from that will keep him alive and leaving him to die, you do not need this anyway. »

Film «Hotel Rwanda» shows a new chapter in this story, makes the West dilemma through time and when you arrive to the moment of no return seems not ready to sacrifice the blood of its citizens «precious» apparently is not interested in you at all bloodshed «cheap» which would flow after that. Tells this movie Alibdabh In a scene presented by the Irish filmmaker «Terry George» severe Ivca Troy Rwandan girl sitting in the hotel for a correspondents bar journalists how the beginning of this dilemma dating back to the era of the Belgian occupation of Rwanda when they divided the people to «Hutu» and «Tootsie» based on criteria physical very superficial, for example, «the length and width nose.» And then they made «Tutsi» They are in charge of the leadership positions throughout the period of their management of the state, and increased hatred of people of one nation towards each other until the white man is gone, leaving behind an apartheid reached us in the end to the massacre of her puppies died, hundreds of thousands. And then also he decided to turn his back and not reach out to pick up some of the blood and debris, and then also you'll find all the goodwill declares: «What we have entered in all this ?, have completed your problems yourselves!».

- Why would not interfere with the world?
- You are a group of black people, you're not even Znoja, you are "Africans" !.

«Gen. Oliver» told «Paul Rosesabagana»

-5-
«Many of us know people who are influential abroad, you should not hesitate to contact these people, should you tell what is happening to us, Golo them goodbye, Coloha as if you arrive to them over the phone and Stmeskun their hands, let them know that if they left this hand, will ye die, you must make them feel ashamed to send help. »
Keeps «Paul» more than a thousand of its partners in the world inside the hotel, out everything in the repertoire of ideas to keep their lives, do not be ashamed of that mediates personal relations with murderers, does not hesitate to bribe the security services of the army and police; until it reaches the end of the threat some of them that the West Sahakmanm if it did not intervene stop harm killers from his hotel; to eventually become a member of the team was formed by chance and the initiatives of individual courage, accompanied by Gen. refused to vacate the battlefield also ordered him to «United Nations» and accompanied by envoys «Red Cross» who Without them what we got infinite number of people killed in the massacre. In the grand moment of abandonment of Western governments and international forces and UN envoys «Paul» decide to change its strategy, even images massacres did not succeed in attracting the attention of the world, the world does not care about anonymous fragments, human beings care about all the faces you know the names of their owners and their tales.

-6-
When it was screened in the «Toronto» Festival 2004 presented many criticisms; as they have not focused on the massacre in which hundreds of thousands died size of its focus on the hotel's story, but I, on the contrary I think that the film makers have succeeded because of this choice, you can not in any way telling the stories of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, it will turn into just a number dead in the end. But you can instead the story of a true story of a group of real human beings who have suffered the midst of this carnage, the story of these people will know their names and feel camaraderie with them and live with them the story of horror and sink them amid bloodshed, this story Stjbarak attention.

You can tell the story of hundreds of survivors to see in their eyes the memory of hundreds of thousands of dead ones they have lost face, and this is what worked «Hotel Rwanda» in piped to the viewer. This is not just a movie, this story will affect you until the end, this story will never forget as long as I lived, this story of blood, betrayal and the struggle for life, the story of the individual tournaments that can change the equation.

-7-
Throughout this week, we see ahead of us everywhere, carrying pictures of the color of dark blood adorned inter ask the world to save «Aleppo». Throughout this week, we see the people of the third world are showing their discontent because the reaction was loud toward the blood of Paris «precious» was too modest to the blood of Aleppo «cheap» and was more modest, or tell is present from the origin to the blood of dozens of Syrian cities «cheaper».
When I remembered that the United Nations figures that tell us that the death toll in Syria so far has exceeded 400 thousand, I could not find better than the story of Rwanda Her one million people to Ostdeiha, which simply put us in the face of two things:
First, «The sad thing is not to become a blood-cheap airfare and becomes the high price of envy, sadly, the right to become a blood-eighth; any price».
And secondly, «that the number will not change much in the equation, and that the world simply can not move even after it lost million lives, and you're so Takgelhm to move, you must be very smart in the delivery of messages, as it should before all this can live to send».

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise, centered on afilm series created by George Lucas. It depicts the adventures of various characters "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away".
The film series began on May 25, 1977 with the release of the filmStar Wars (subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope in 1981) by 20th Century Fox, which became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. It was followed by the similarly successful sequels The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983); these three films constitute the original Star Wars trilogy. A prequel trilogy was later released between 1999 and 2005, which received a more mixed reaction from critics and fans in comparison to the original trilogy. All six films were nominated for or won Academy Awards, and were commercial successes, with a combined box office revenue of $4.38 billion,[5] making Star Wars the fourth highest-grossing film series.[6]The series has spawned an extensive media franchise—the Star Wars expanded universe—including books, television series, computer and video games, and comic books, resulting in significant development of the series's fictional universe. Star Wars also holds aGuinness World Records title for the "Most successful film merchandising franchise." In 2012, the total value of the Star Warsfranchise was estimated at USD $30.7 billion, including box-office receipts as well as profits from their video games and DVD sales.[7]
In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm for $4.06 billion and announced three new Star Wars films; the first film of that trilogy, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was released on December 18, 2015.[8] 20th Century Fox retains the physical distribution rights to the first two Star Wars trilogies, owning permanent rights for the original 1977 film and holding the rights to Episodes IIII, V and VIuntil May 2020.[9][10] Walt Disney Studios owns digital distributionrights to all the Star Wars films, excluding A New Hope

Setting

"Star Wars galaxy" redirects here. For the video game, see Star Wars Galaxies. For the comic series named Star Wars Galaxy, see Star Wars (UK comics).
The events depicted in the Star Wars franchise take place in a fictional galaxy. Many species of alien creatures (oftenhumanoid) are depicted. Robotic droids are also commonplace and are generally built to serve their owners. Space travel is common, and many planets in the galaxy are members of a single galactic government. In the prequel trilogy, this is depicted in the form of the Galactic Republic; at the end of the prequel trilogy and throughout the original trilogy, this government is the Galactic Empire. Preceding and during the sequel trilogy, this government is the New Republic.
One of the prominent elements of Star Wars is "the Force", an omnipresent energy that can be harnessed by those with that ability, known as Force-sensitives. It is described in the first produced film as "an energy field created by all living things [that] surrounds us, penetrates us, [and] binds the galaxy together."[12] The Force allows users to perform varioussupernatural feats (such as telekinesis, clairvoyance, precognition, and mind control) and can amplify certain physical traits, such as speed and reflexes; these abilities vary between characters and can be improved through training. While the Force can be used for good, known as the light side, it also has a dark side that, when pursued, imbues users with hatred, aggression, and malevolence.
The six films feature the Jedi, who adhere to the light side of the Force to serve as peacekeepers and guardians, and theSith, who use the dark side of the Force for evil in an attempt to destroy the Jedi Order and the Republic and rule the galaxy for themselves.

Theatrical films

The first film in the series, Star Wars, was released on May 25, 1977. This was followed by two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, 1983. The opening crawl of the sequels disclosed that they were numbered as "Episode V" and "Episode VI" respectively, though the films were generally advertised solely under their subtitles. Though the first film in the series was simply titled Star Wars, with its 1981 re-release it had the subtitle Episode IV: A New Hope added to remain consistent with its sequel, and to establish it as the middle chapter of a continuing saga.[13]
In 1997, to correspond with the 20th anniversary of the original film, Lucas released a "Special Edition" of the Star Warstrilogy to theaters. The re-release featured alterations to the three films, primarily motivated by the improvement of CGI and other special effects technologies, which allowed visuals that were not possible to achieve at the time of the original filmmaking. Lucas continued to make changes to the films for subsequent releases, such as the first ever DVD release of the original trilogy on September 21, 2004, and the first ever Blu-ray release of all six films on September 16, 2011.[14]Reception of the Special Edition was mixed,[15][16][17][18] prompting petitions and fan edits to produce restored copies of the original trilogy.[19][20]
More than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting ofEpisode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005.[21] On August 15, 2008, Star Wars: The Clone Wars was released theatrically as a lead-in to the animated TV series of the same name. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released on December 18, 2015.
On January 26, 2016, Variety reported that Disney executives were meeting with cable outlets Turner, FX Networks,Viacom, NBCUniversal, A&E Networks and AMC Networks to have a discussion on purchasing the free-TV rights to the first six Star Wars movies

The Force has awakened the Star Wars franchise from a long coma. The hype for “The Force Awakens” has reached a manic level. J.J. Abrams has the insurmountable task to satisfy a fanbase that’s starving for him to re-create the Star Wars nostalgia of the past that will make them forget about the last three films. Abrams succeeds on delivering the best Star Wars since the early 1980’s, and one of the best ever. The classic opening and John Williams musical score remain. The opening intro with the title and the sliding description with the story set-up are done the same way as they were in 1980.
“The Force Awakens” introduces its three new prominent characters to the Star Wars universe.Daisy Ridley is introduced as Rey, a scavenger that unintentionally gets involved with the Resistance. The strongest female character since Princess Leia. John Boyega is another newbie coming into the franchise as a mainstay, he plays Finn, a Stormtrooper that’s on the run from The Force. Oscar Isaac is everywhere these days, so it’s only natural that he’s included in the new Star Wars. Isaac is Poe Dameron, an expert pilot that wears an orange jumpsuit, sure sounds like someone familiar.
A lot happens in act one. That’s where all three of these characters are introduced and come together, and they are all linked to the charming little droid BB-8. He serves as an important linchpin to these new characters, as well as the overall storyline of the film. He serves as Rey’s R-2 D-2. The introduction of the characters is well established, although due to time constraints are somewhat rushed. You don’t get the entire reasoning why these characters are doing what they do, and what’s their motive. Rey is homeless, without family, and living day to day being a scavenger in the empty wastelands of Jakku. Unbeknownst to her she’s pretty much a Jakkuvian Macgyver.
Adam Driver is established early on as the evil and imposing Kylo Ren, or Darth Vader 2.0. Driver, known for his quirky characters in romantic and smart dramatic indie films is actually the perfect for this role, it’s because we haven’t seen him take on anything remotely similar to the role of Ren. Finn’s character is introduced in the early portion as a Stormtrooper gone rogue that actually has conscience, but is that the real reason why he turns? That’s not completely explained. Finn does provide constant comedic relief, and goes toe-to-toe with Han Solo when it comes to witty and funny dialogue.

Ridley and Boyega are a great tandem
These new younger actors don’t just represent an infusion of new blood in the franchise, there is a societal commentary by bringing them aboard. They represent a modern age of cinema diversity. Ridley’s character is a fierce woman who is tough, smart, and can fight off any man or enemy. She’s a female heroine in a prominent and important role in terms of the story and significance. This sends a message of the importance of female characters in cinema, and in the action adventure world. On a personal note, Ridley has this Keira Knightley thing going for her. Not only does she resemble Knightley, her facial expressions and jaw movement are identical to Knightley. Plus they are both British brunettes, so that doesn’t hurt either.
Boyega is a talented English actor who happens to be black. Including him as one of the central figures in the film really adds some much needed diversity to the franchise. He’s very charming on-screen, and surely to be a fan favorite going forward. Isaac is one of the better young talents in Hollywood, securing such a rising star is a huge coup.

One of these Stormtroopers is a good guy
This is the first Star Wars film that’s backed by Disney. The concern was that Disney would be too PG and tone down on the action, but the film doesn’t miss a beat, it’s as if Disney had no involvement in it. The action is well put together, not too over-the-top, and also not limited. There are plenty of exciting chases and battles. Even the Millennium Falcon gets dusted off and taken for a spin. No worries, the lightsabers get a workout in the film also.
What ultimately this movie accomplishes is it bridges the gap between the Star Wars movies from the 80’s to this one, while bypassing the garbage that was the last three films. It’s a collection of Star Wars all-stars from the past coming together and passing the torch to the stars of the present and future. For sports fans this feels as if you combined the 90’s Jordan Chicago Bulls with the Lakers of the 2000’s, or even Steph Curry’s current Golden State Warriors team. Han Solo and Finn in the same scene. Leia and Rey. That’s pretty cool stuff. The abundance of talent in the film is at times overwhelmingly pleasant. There are plenty of laughs throughout the movie, along with plenty references to the past films. You don’t have to be a die hard, or even watched all of the previous films to enjoy “The Force Awakens”. It’s important that casual and young fans can grown with this franchise going forward.

Solo and Chewbacca are finally back
Personally I’m not a Star Wars die-hard–never been. I have seen all the films, and as a casual fan I appreciate them for what they. “The Force Awakens” is an exciting film. The story arc is supremely crafted. The introduction of the new blood, re-introduction of the nostalgic characters of the past, set-up a couple twists along the way, and lead up to a payoff that sets up a new story going forward. To accomplish all that in one movie is a credit to Abrams, Lawrence Kasdan, and Michael Arndt. It’s hard to ignore all the hype, but the movie stands on its own as being a quality movie, Star Wars or not.
“The Force Awakens” might be one of the most ambitious fan pleasing attempts made in any movie franchise. Credit Abrams fro officially resurrecting two prominent and beloved franchises in Star Trek and Star Wars. Keeping up with the sports terms, he’s the Phil Jackson, or better yet it’s time to start comparing him to Mr. Star Wars George Lucas himself. The nostalgia is alive and well. May the force awaken you from a long overdue Star Wars nap.

“The Revenant”: Exhausting and Exhilarating Odyssey of Revenge

THE REVENANT is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption.
The Revenenant is a triumph and there’s more than 1 reason why. There are so many moving parts in this film, so many points of failure that could make this movie crash and burn that it’s a wonder how it was able to achieve its goals and turns out as great as it is.
First off the movie is a western. Yes, a western and these movies don’t often get much attention in today’s world of films that are heavy sci-fi, super hero, or both. A western alone is a point of failure that this movie manages to overcome and turn into a benefit.

The Effects- Those of you who have seen this movie will think for a moment and wonder “What CGI”. No, they didn’t let a real bear sit their and maul on Leonardo DiCaprio’s back for 5-10 minute segments. In actuality that wonderful cinematic moment was something referred to as a “Computer Generated Image” or CGI for short with a mix of this forgotten method of film making that used to be referred to as “practical effects”. Yes, it was that damn good. The mix of practical film making made the CGI superfluous to the more traditional methods of film making but the fact that it went unnoticed is not something that should be overlooked.
The acting –  Enough gushing about Leonardo DiCaprio, can we talk about Tom Hardy for a second? For most films a hero is only as strong as its villain. The Dark Knight had Heath Ledger’s Joker, Casino Royale had Mads Mikkelsen, and The Revenant has Tom Hardy who’s making up for The Dark Knight Rises’ Bane. His turn as John Fitzgerald is downright infuriating. He’s a guy doing incredibly heinous and unforgivable things that but does so under the belief of self-preservation. He’s a guy who has to do awful things in order to survive and I can’t help but wonder if the same thoughts would race through my mind in a comparable situation. He’s incredibly calculated and sometimes even seems to wrestle with his decisions but those decisions he chooses are the tings that make you Glass hate him. He’s amazing in this role and deserves some recognition for the effort.
Leonardo DiCaprio does a great job in his role and he’s a consistently great actor but I can’t help but feel that Hardy may have stolen some of the show from DiCaprio. DiCaprio does a fantastic job and this may be a scenario where I’m hard pressed to say one was better than the other rather than one made more of an impression than the other.
The story of the Revenant is a simple one. A man who was left for dead wants revenge on the folks who left him. The simplicity in the story makes it seem almost instinctual and primal and that is an effective tool in story telling. I don’t need to know much more about the character other than he was wronged and I can instantly relate. It’s quite elequent in its own way because its so relatable.

The Direction –  The Revenant can be tough to watch. There are scenes that literally made me squirm in my seat and… close my eyes. Yes, it was that intense and the ferocity of what was put on film and projected in front of me was just too much for this simple writer more than once. Bravo. It’s been far too long since I saw a movie say “this is just too real for me”. The muted palette on the screen lends itself well to the environment of the bitter cold frontier and adds some sort of visual grit that I didn’t fully appreciate until hindsight set in. The idea of washing a film with a certain color is not new but it’s still very effective.
Rewatchability – I want to see the Revenant again. I Want to see if I can watch those scenes that made me turn my head. I want to see if there are more details that I missed. There’s a lot that happened to Glass in his journey to survive and those little moments woven together create a great film that I want to make sure I didn’t overlook. Why? Because it’s that friggin good and there are few films outside of a Chistopher Nolan movie that evoke that sort of response out of me. I NEED to make sure I understood everything and didn’t miss anything.
Overall this is a great movie. Might not be the best ‘date’ movie but it’s certainly one of those movies youw ant to see and give your full attention to while watching. This movie may not be for everyone because it’s slower paced, a western, and downright gruesome at times. IF you want to see something that will make you want to hold your pee rather than miss a scene then you should definitely check out the Revenant and brace yourself.

Academy Award winner Alejandro González Iñárritu (“Birdman”) directed, co-wrote and co-produced “The Revenant” with the indisputable intent of transporting his audience back to the primitive and animalistic conditions inherent to the brutal and untamed North American wilderness of the early 19th Century.  Having experienced this masterpiece in modern filmmaking now myself, I feel qualified to deliver the following declaration in the most resounding manner possible…MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
With each stunning scene of grim grandeur Iñárritu passed before my eyes, I was unwaveringly riveted, hurtled headlong, swept into every successive moment, captivated in a whirling dervish of surging vitality. From ultra-violent Native (and non-indigenous) American ambushes, to excruciatingly crude cleansing of heinous bodily wounds, to a Grizzly Bear mauling that for all the world appears to be actually happening, I was rendered at once exhausted and exhilarated in the wake of a furiously unrelenting assault on my emotions.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the role of his career as real-life frontier legend Hugh Glass, “The Revenant” is a ferociously ambitious epic, presented essentially in three distinct acts: Escape, Survival and Revenge.  Tom Hardy’s perfect performance as reprehensible antagonist and the reviled target of Glass’s relentless scorn, John Fitzgerald, serves to further solidify the richly gifted actor, together with DiCaprio, among the genuine elite of their craft.
There is a deeply effecting, albeit brief, Epilogue to “The Revenant”, as the nearly two and a half hours of full-force frenzy that has preceded it comes to a movingly quiet climax.
An unspeakably tortured soul has found peace.  At the end of a long and agonizing odyssey, and at long last, enduring peace.

Review: “Brooklyn” is a Classic TimelessRomance

Brooklyn is a 2015 Irish-British-Canadian drama directed by John Crowley and written by Nick Hornby, based on Colm Tóibín's novel of the same name. The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Emory Cohen, Domhnall Gleeson, Jim Broadbent, and Julie Walters. Set in 1951 and 1952, the film tells the story of a young Irish woman's immigration to Brooklyn, where she quickly falls into a romance. When her past catches up with her, however, she must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within them for her.

Brooklyn premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim. [4] It opened in limited release on 4 November 2015 in the United States and the UK on 6 November 2015. [5] The film was nominated for three Academy Awards: Best Picture , Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Synopsis: An Irish immigrant lands in 1950s Brooklyn, where she quickly falls into a new romance. When her past catches up with her, however, she must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.

Love and finding yourself is what John Crowley's Brooklyn is all about. The film is more than just a classic romance, it's relatable to just about anyone whose ever found themselves in a new place and feeling all alone. It's the 1950's and Eilis (Saoirse Ronan) is leaving her native Ireland to embark on a new life journey in America. Leaving her mother and sister behind, Eilis arrives in Brooklyn with little money and a few acquaintances. It's not until she meets Tony (Emory Cohen) that her life changes and her perspective on her new adopted country changes completely.
Brooklyn is one of those rare pleasing films that combines romance and and self-discovery. These two aspects seamlessly transition together. At the core, the movie is about new beginnings. The internal struggle dealing with being alone in a foreign place. The film chronicles Eilis' path of attempting to let go of the past, while embracing the future. The plot is not predictably as it could have been, the plot-line turns that occur are crafted so well that there is a point that Eilis walks the line between charming and sweet to cold and calculated. The depth of the character is multi-layered.
Cinematographer Yves Belanger does flawless work with the fantastic portrait-like visuals of 1950's Brooklyn. The colors are bright and dynamic. The scene shots of the Ireland countryside have a classic feel to them. The depicted parallel between a beach in Ireland and one in New York is fascinating to see and compare. Ireland is open and endless, while the New York one is crowded and constricted. It's a commentary on the experience Eilis is adjusting to. The simplicity and comfort of Ireland versus the boisterous and overwhelming excitement of America. The costume design by Odile Dicks-Mireaux is timely and elegant. It's neat to see Eilis adjusting to the clothing style in America, and that bit carries over later in the film when she's displaying her beach attire and the contrast between her attire and one of her Irish friend turns into a scene worthy of a chuckle.
The costumes are very stylish and time approperiate
The costumes are very stylish and time appropriate
When it comes to acting, Ronan is simply supreme. She brings humor, zest, and charm to this role. Her performance as Eilis is so good that it's both touching, and at times even aggravating. Emory Cohen gets a bit lost in the shuffle with the Oscar worthy performance of Ronan, but he's also terrific. The quiet shy charm Tony has is a great complement to the more outspoken Eilis. Watching their romance develop is truly romantic and is certain to bring up some feelings or hopes of finding that one true love in the most unexpected way. The internal conflict she has about her feelings rings true also. Relationships and love is a complex thing, the film illustrates that nicely through its characters.

What this movie ultimately accomplishes is it makes you feel. The feelings of fear, loneliness, love, and loss, it's what makes this movie such a emotionally pleasing roller-coaster. It's an honest and positive take on a time when the world seemed to be a simpler place to live in, and that's in part of the film's beauty. Just as in Age of Adeline it's refreshing to see a film that's just purely about people. Authentic relatable stories can be told without needing any violence, guns, and constant profanity. The film's commentary on being an immigrant in a country that's one giant melting pot still rings true today as it did in any point. America is still the place where you can change your life for the better, no matter where you come from. Crowley honors the struggle and difficulty that's endured and he tells it through the eyes of an immigrant.

In 1952, Eilis Lacey is a young woman from Enniscorthy, a small town in southeast Ireland, where she lives with her mother and sister Rose. She is unable to find employment, other than working weekends at a shop run by the spiteful Miss Kelly, and is not interested in the local young men. Her sister then writes to an Irish priest (Father Flood) in Brooklyn who arranged for her to go to the US to find a better future. She leaves but suffers from seasickness on the voyage and ends up being locked out of the toilet by her cabin neighbors. The woman in the bunk below her, an experienced traveler, helps her, giving her advice and support for Eilis's entry to the US and life in Brooklyn, the new home to many Irish immigrants.

Eilis lives at an Irish boarding house where she dines each night with the landlady and her fellow residents, all young women. She also has a job at a department store but is shy and quiet when interacting with customers, earning the gentle scolding of Miss Fortini, her supervisor. Her letters from her sister, back in Ireland, give her homesickness. She is visited by Father Flood, the priest who arranged for her job and accommodation, and he tries to help by enrolling her in bookkeeping classes. At a dance she meets Tony, from an Italian family, who is quickly interested in her and becomes her boyfriend. With these developments, Eilis begins to feel more comfortable in New York, although she is slow to return Tony's declaration of love.

Father Flood informs Eilis that Rose has died suddenly of an undisclosed illness. After a trans-Atlantic phone call with her mother reveals that she is struggling to cope, Eilis decides to return home for a visit. Tony insists that if she is leaving they must get secretly married first. They enter a civil marriage without telling family and friends. Back in Ireland, everybody seems to be conspiring to keep Eilis from returning to Brooklyn. Her best friend is getting married a week after her scheduled return journey, and her mother has already accepted the invitation on her behalf. She is set up on dates with eligible bachelor Jim, who is about to inherit property. She takes her sister's place as a bookkeeper on an emergency basis. Eilis starts to feel that she now has the future in Ireland that did not exist when she left and stops opening the letters she receives from Tony.

Miss Kelly, her former employer, meets with Eilis and says she has learned that she is already married. Eilis is reminded of what life was like in a small-town, a life she had escaped. She informs her mother of her marriage and that she is leaving for Brooklyn the next day. On the crossing, she plays the role of the experienced traveller, offering words of guidance to a first-time émigrée. The film ends with Eilis and Tony reuniting and happily embracing.

The emotional struggle Eilis is on is will make you love her and hate her at times
I loved and appreciated this movie for what it is. When a film makes you feel, think, relate, and hope, it accomplishes it's purpose. There is an Eilis in all of us at some point in our lives. It does not matter where you come from and who you are, the American dream is still attainable today as it was back then. Love has no boundaries, different backgrounds and cultures is what untie us. In the movie Tony utters the phrase, "Home is home," and that statement truly

applies to anyone in a timeless manner.

9. may not be a film Scorsese last (Shutter Island) is the best his films, or at least equal to the previous films to him, but he is the directorial experience successful by all standards especially as it is the first experience of the director in mystery and awe factor, in the film puts us in front of an officer goes to the island to investigate the the escape of one of the prisoners, including the process, and on the track reveals things in large mysterious occur in this island, the film on the level of uncertainty was superb and he was able to breath-taking as well as it's on the level of performance in DiCaprio was a lot better than the previous collaborations with the New Yorker director Martin Schorszy, the film is worth seeing is classified K's most prominent films of the same genre

8. up to us by David Fincher this year, with cinema and the film is completely different from his previous films, both in the story or general nature melancholic, which has long been characterized by his previous films (Fight Club, Zodiac, Seven), film Venture this year's strange and wondrous is not in the way of subtraction, but the shift in wording with David Fincher, this complete change in quality makes us believe that a man looking for satisfaction critics P after the attack directed him and ignored the long his previous films (for us in fight Club the best example) has achieved the desired P won the right to overall satisfaction and the film gained Trahaat and prizes only at the local level or global. Venture this year give us the full story of the founder of the site months in the world (Facebook), which was able to Fincher that is shaped in a way series and distinctive and can we say that the scenario featured terrible montage for the film was the point of the strongest film Venture this year, but Maieib film is the film's hero Jesse Eisenberg for I do not know, but if you're a teacher or a professor in the university's mark gave him upright because of conservation and the narrative, which he did in the movie mode, P Jesse gave his role hull spirit or interaction, just a machine just squeeze it in talking. Ft be harsh in judging the film's hero but excuse me this Maahsst him toward the actor. The level of output between the feet views robbery and airports at the highest level in exaggeration where or short, the movement of the camera in the scenes of the chase were not making the viewer to live the same moment with the heroes, either at the level of performance in the beautifully presented role, especially if we look at his earlier work as we find this performance is the most prominent him, in the same context, there is a very creative in recent years, Jeremy Renner, who returned us Joe Bashi mad at friends are good, and the level of performance, there are also Jon Hamm and Rebecca Hall was both unique in the space given to him
